Many of you will have noticed that for the last year or so on this site there was a vertical strip of links to other (sometimes interesting) blog posts in a similar vein to this blog. This effect was achieved by use of a script which connected to www.2leep.com and displayed random links to other folks’ blog posts.

It has recently been brought to my attention that 2leep.com has now descended into the realms of (mainly soft-core) porn and this may have caused some people offence so I would just like to say sorry to anybody who noticed and was offended by this – it was completely unintentional on my part and I have now removed the offending code from this site.

Apple Store Artist Raided by Secret Service

Artist Kyle McDonald wanted to create something that captured people’s expressions as they stared at computers.

So the 25-year-old artist installed a program on computers in two New York Apple Store locations that would automatically take a photo every minute of whoever was standing in front of the computer.McDonald then uploaded the photos to his Tumblr blog and this got him into trouble and caused him to be raided by Secret Service agents.

Fullness Factor

“Hunger – one of your body’s strongest and most beneficial stimuli – helps insure that
you consume enough Calories for your needs. However, it also works against you when you’re
trying to lose weight. You could easily lose weight just by eating less, but the less that
you eat or the longer you postpone eating, the hungrier you become, and the longer it
takes your hunger to subside once you do begin to eat. So the hungrier you are, the more
likely it is that you’ll overeat, consuming extra Calories that can quickly slow or
reverse your weight loss.

As you know, the only way to end hunger is to eat. Eating provides satiety – a pleasant
feeling of fullness and the corresponding reduction of hunger. But did you also know that
some foods are better than others for satisfying your hunger? A baked potato, for example,
will probably “fill you up” much better than a serving of candy that has the
same number of Calories.”
